Frequently Asked Questions - Induction Cooker
How do I know if my cookware is induction compatible?
Rena Ware’s entire current cookware line, whether 5-ply or 7-ply cookware, is all induction compatible. If your cookware is several years old, there is a simple test to determine if your cookware is compatible. The induction cooker heats the cooking utensil by generating a magnetic field. To test whether cooking utensil is compatible, simply attach a magnet to the bottom surface. If it sticks, it is induction compatible. If the magnet does not stick, it is not induction compatible.
Why is the power indicator light flashing?
Make sure you are using an induction compatible cookware utensil. If the pan is induction compatible, make sure it is centered properly on the ceramic plate. Also, check the ceramic plate. If it has cracked, contact the Customer Service Department for replacement options.
The Power indicator light does not turn on.
Make sure the unit is plugged in and the Power button is firmly pressed. If the unit does not turn on, try plugging it in to a different outlet. If you have checked these points and the issue is not fixed yet, please contact the Customer Service Center.
Also, it is important to note that the unit will only stay on if an induction compatible cookware utensil is seated properly on the ceramic plate. If no utensil is detected by the magnetic sensors, the Power indicator light will flash for a short time and the unit will automatically shut off.
