Fequently Asked Questions - Aqua ü 3000 Water Filter

Why does water continue to pour out after I turn off the faucet?
When you turn on the filter, it takes a couple of seconds to build up pressure inside and force the water to pass through the Combined Media Filter inside. Bear in mind that the pressure of the water inside the cartridge must equalize with the pressure outside the filter when you turn it off, and that is why some water continues to leak out.

I replaced the cartridge, but the blue and green lights aren’t flashing any more.
Remember to review your use and care booklet, and to replace the batteries; this will reset the LED light.

Why is my filter leaking?
First, it is important to identify the exact area that is leaking. If the affected area appears damged or worn out, it may be necessarily to replace that piece. Contact the Customer Service department to request these replacement items.

If the pieces appear to be in good condition, and water is leaking at the joint between two pieces, make sure that they are properly and securely connected. If leaking persists, disconnect the pieces, apply a small amount of silicone to the overlapping portion of the filter pieces and reassemble. The silicone should help create a water tight seal.

If the filter is leaking inside the base from the manifold assembly, this can not be repaired. If this is the case, you may find water leaking from the battery compartment in the base or around the edges of the base. Please contact the Customer Service department for replacement options.

Why does no water come out of the filter?
Ensure that the filter is properly installed. If water comes out through the faucet rather and not the filter, verify that the knob on the diverter valve is turned to the horizintal position. Make sure that the hose is not folded or bent in a way that would impede the flow of water. Clean the Combined Media Filter.

How long the Combined Media Filter last?
The Combined Media Filter should last until it has filtered 3000 gallons of water. The length of time will vary depending on the frequency and quantity of use.
